Lafia, Nigeria – Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has dissolved the state executive council, including the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Muhammad Aliyu-Ubandoma, and dismissed all senior special advisers, special advisers, and personal assistants.
The announcement was made during a special emergency executive meeting at the Government House in Lafia on Friday, shortly after Vice President Kashim Shettima concluded a one-day working visit to the state to inaugurate some projects.
While the exact reasons for the dissolution remain unclear, a senior government official, who requested anonymity, suggested the decision aligns with Governor Sule’s approach to restructuring state administration.
In 2021, the governor had similarly dissolved the state executive council, citing the need for a more effective and efficient governance structure.
