The Court of Appeal has nullified a Rivers High Court order that barred 25 pro-Wike lawmakers, including Martin Amaewhule, from performing their duties as lawmakers.

A three-member appeal panel, led by Justice Jimi Olukayode-Bada, ruled that the lower court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case, as such matters fall under the exclusive purview of a Federal High Court.

This decision effectively lifts the restraining order, allowing the legislators to resume their duties in the state assembly.

The appeal court’s verdict is a significant development in the ongoing political saga in Rivers State.
