INEC adjourns announcement of presidential election results

Nigeria’s electoral umpire, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has adjourned announcement of presidential election results till 2:30 pm Monday.

INEC made the announcement after declaring the election results of Ekiti and Osun state in Abuja.

In Ekiti State, president Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won with 219,231 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) polled 154,032.

In Osun State, Buhari’s APC polled 347,634. Atiku Abubakar of the PDP polled 337,377 votes.
