Port Harcourt, Nigeria – In a significant move following the recent Supreme Court judgment, the Governor of Rivers State has invited members of the State House of Assembly to a high-level meeting aimed at addressing pressing legislative and administrative concerns.

A letter issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, and addressed to the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martins Amaewhule, outlined the key agenda for the meeting, scheduled to take place on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 10 AM in the Office of the Governor at Government House, Port Harcourt.

According to the letter, the meeting will focus on four critical areas:

Provision of a functional space for the Assembly’s sittings.
Settlement of outstanding allowances and remuneration owed to lawmakers.
Presentation of the state budget and related legislative matters.
Other issues deemed necessary for the progress of the state.
