Rivers State Police Detain Cleric Over Alleged Homosexual Conduct
The Rivers State Police Command has taken into custody a cleric known as Elijah, who serves as the General Overseer of a contemporary church in Port Harcourt, on allegations of homosexuality. His arrest came after a controversial video surfaced, reportedly capturing him in a compromising scenario.
Sources revealed that Elijah’s predicament began when a male acquaintance, claiming that the pastor was making advances toward him, recorded their encounter without his knowledge and subsequently shared the footage.
An anonymous source indicated, “It remains unclear how the Octopus Strike Force from the Rivers State Pastor Investigated For Homosexual Conduct Police Command obtained the video, but they started monitoring the pastor. Eventually, acting on reliable intelligence, officers followed him to one of his usual haunts and took him into custody.”
Reports suggest that during questioning, the pastor allegedly confessed to similar conduct involving both adults and minors, not only in Port Harcourt but also in surrounding areas.
Grace Iringe-Koko, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, confirmed the apprehension, noting that the suspect has been presented in court. “Yes, I can verify the pastor’s arrest. He is currently in custody, and investigations are ongoing. He has already been charged in court,” stated Iringe-Koko, who holds the rank of Superintendent of Police.
