President Bola Tinubu has praised Dangote Oil and Gas Limited for its commendable initiative in reducing the gantry price of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel).
The Dangote Group has implemented a significant reduction, dropping the gantry price of AGO from N1,650 to N1,000 per litre for a minimum purchase of one million litres.
Additionally, they are offering a discount of N30 per litre for purchases exceeding five million litres. This remarkable 60 per cent drop in price is expected to positively impact the cost of various goods and services.
According to a statement released by Presidential spokesman Chief Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu emphasizes the crucial role of Nigerians and domestic businesses in steering the nation towards economic prosperity.
He highlights the federal government’s 20 per cent stake in Dangote Refinery, underlining the significance of public-private partnerships in advancing the country’s overall well-being.
