The audience at funeral event of late Access Bank Holdings CEO, Herbert Wigwe went agog, after the MC tried to end the event without recognizing the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the last Nigerian election, Peter Obi, who was seated in hall.
The confused MC was forced to recognize Obi and apologize for omitting his name during recognition of guests at the event.
This happened at the RCCG Lion of Judah parish in Isiokpo, Ikwerre local government area of Rivers state on Friday, March 8.
Wigwe, his wife, son and a business associate died in a helicopter crash in the United States last month.
Wigwe’s remains and those of his wife and his son were brought back to Rivers state yesterday from the US for burial.
Many had paid tribute to the late business leader in a series of events organized in Lagos in his honour.
