Isiokpo, Rivers State – Wigwe University, a newly established institution in Nigeria, has announced the launch of 100 merit-based scholarships for outstanding students as it prepares to commence operations in September 2024.
The scholarships, designed to support students with exceptional academic achievements, leadership, and entrepreneurship capabilities, aim to alleviate the financial burden of higher education and provide a conducive environment for scholars to thrive.
To qualify, applicants must have selected university as their first choice, achieved a minimum UTME score of 170, and uploaded their qualifying results to the JAMB portal.
The application deadline is August 26, 2024, and successful candidates will be notified by the first week of September 2024.
