Not less than 40 persons are reportedly dead in an attack inside a concert hall in Moscow, capital city of Russia.
Some parts of the concert hall known as the Crocus City Hall have gone up in flames since the incident.
A security guard at the concert told Telegram Channel Baza that gunmen started shooting sporadically inside the hall, killing many people.
“They started shooting randomly at people on the ground floor and went towards either the concert hall or the oceanarium.
“When the shooting stopped, we went out through the central exit and administrators were already helping the wounded.”
The Russian government says all possible measures are being taken to provide assistance to those affected as a result of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall.
Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, has expressed her condolences to the victims of today’s attack, calling it a “nightmare in Crocus”.
“All those involved in this crime must be found and brought to justice,” she wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
