Why Zamfara Youths did not Join The Nationwide protest- PDP

The Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara, Mukhtar Lugga, has attributed the peaceful atmosphere in the state to the good governance of Governor Dauda Lawal.

Speaking with journalists on Friday, Lugga said that the residents of the state were happy with the administration’s efforts, which have been beneficial to the people.

The governor, according to Lugga, has initiated several programs and policies that have improved the lives of Zamfara residents. These initiatives include declaring a state of emergency in education and health, paying a backlog of gratuities, constructing or reconstructing roads, renovating and equipping schools and hospitals, and intervening in agricultural businesses.

While acknowledging that there is hardship in the country, Lugga expressed optimism that President Bola Tinubu’s efforts would help address the socioeconomic challenges facing Nigeria. He urged the people to continue to be law-abiding and pray for leaders to succeed in overcoming the challenges affecting the country.

The statement by Lugga comes as protests by some groups have turned violent in some neighboring states. However, Gusau and other towns in Zamfara have remained quiet, with no one showing up for the demonstration on Friday, the second day of the activity.

The peaceful atmosphere in Zamfara contrasts with the situation in other parts of the country, where protests have led to looting and violence. The situation has sparked concerns about the country’s security and stability.
