Highlighting the pivotal role these cables play in the digital economy, Tijani stressed the importance of revising international laws and forging partnerships with regional and global organizations to expedite efforts in securing vital infrastructure.
Addressing the recent disruptions caused by cuts to the undersea cable supplying broadband Internet connectivity to Nigeria and countries in the West African sub-region, Tijani assured affected entities that the Nigerian Communications Commission is actively collaborating with relevant stakeholders to promptly address the issues at hand.

Expressing appreciation for their selflessness, Tijani underscored the importance of reviewing international laws and collaborations to adequately protect undersea cables, promising to engage with regional and global bodies to accelerate efforts on this critical agenda.
