A gas explosion occurred today at a building in the Sabon Gari area of Kano state, police has confirmed.
The explosion, which was earlier wrongly reported by some media houses as a bomb explosion, was said to have occurred near a school.
Videos posted online saw school children been evacuated ftom the area. Some of the kids appeared wounded.
Police has confirmed two persons dead while the number of wounded victims is yet to be verified.
