President Bola Tinubu, represented by Minister Abubakar Kyari, recently commissioned the GB Foods Tomato Processing Company in Gafara village, Ngaski Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
During the inauguration, President Tinubu emphasized his administration’s dedication to creating a conducive environment for private investors in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
He praised the company’s significant investment in the country and highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting such ventures.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammad Idris, lauded the president’s efforts in agricultural development and emphasized the importance of private investment in achieving national food security. He commended GB Foods for its contribution to Nigeria’s economy, noting its employment of over 70% women.
The minister also acknowledged the collaboration between the federal and Kebbi state governments in promoting agricultural production and wealth creation.
Former Governor Atiku Bagudu, now Minister of Budget and National Planning, commended the president’s focus on agricultural production and food security. He highlighted Nigeria’s potential as an investment destination and urged other investors to follow GB Foods’ example.
Governor Nasir Idris expressed gratitude to Spain for their investment in Kebbi’s agricultural sector and assured continued support for investors. He requested GB Foods to process its products within the state, showcasing the government’s commitment to facilitating business activities locally.
