In a harrowing incident along the Onne estuary, seven maritime travellers have been feared kidnapped. The event unfolded on Monday as unsuspecting passengers embarked on a journey to Port Harcourt by boat.

According to reports confirmed by the Rivers State Police Command, the boat, carrying 20 passengers from Bonny to Onne, was intercepted by daring sea pirates. The passengers were subjected to a robbery before seven of them were abducted and taken to an undisclosed location.

Grace Iringe-Koko, the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, conveyed the details to Newsmen, stating that the incident is under investigation. It remains uncertain whether the seven victims were specifically targeted or randomly seized.
