In a recent announcement, Shell Nigeria revealed its substantial financial contribution to the Nigerian government in 2023, totaling over $1 billion in corporate taxes and royalties.

The payments were made through the operations of the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company of Nigeria Limited (SNEPCo).

Shell reaffirmed its position as a major partner in Nigeria’s energy sector, signaling its continued engagement and investment in the country’s future.
