Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has relocated his business operations from the Southeast to Lagos due to escalating security concerns in the region. In an interview with BBC Igbo, Okechukwu explained that increasing incidents of kidnapping and violence had driven customers away from the Southeast, prompting his move.
He expressed concern over the growing hunger and jealousy within South Eastern communities, which he said led residents to collaborate with criminals and target wealthy individuals, forcing many to leave the area.
Okechukwu highlighted the necessity of relocating to Lagos to ensure a safer environment for his business activities. He noted that the unsafe conditions in the Southeast had discouraged affluent individuals from returning home, especially during festive periods, resulting in his decision to operate from Lagos instead.
