Ndume emphasized that he had not been expelled from the party and reaffirmed his commitment to the APC. He clarified that neither the President nor the Senate was involved in the dispute, and he had not intended any personal affront.
The All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Abdullahi Ganduje, has summoned Senator Ali Ndume to address recent criticisms he made against President Bola Tinubu.
Ndume’s remarks had previously led to his removal as Senate Whip.
Following a meeting at the APC national secretariat, the party chairman announced that the party was satisfied with Ndume’s apology. He stated, “We are quite satisfied with his apology. As a party, we are free to invite legislators, members of the executive, and appointed party members for discussions. This is a family issue that needs to be resolved. We will communicate this to the National Assembly and hope they review their position.”
Ndume acknowledged that his criticisms should have been directed through party channels rather than public platforms. “I accepted the mistake of not addressing my concerns through the party first,” he said. “Moving forward, I will ensure that my observations as a senior member of the party are communicated through the proper channels.”
