Mother of Ex-INEC Chairman Attahiru Jega Dies

Hajiya Hauwa Kulu Muhammadu Jega, mother of former INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega, has passed away. She died on Friday night, August 16, 2024, in Abuja after a brief illness.

A funeral prayer will be held for the deceased at the National Mosque in Abuja on Saturday at 1:30 pm, followed by her burial at Gudu Cemetery.

Hajiya Hauwa, who was in her mid-90s, is survived by numerous children and grandchildren, including notable figures like journalist Malam Mahmud Jega and former AMCON Executive Director, Alhaji Abbas Jega.
