Members of the Joint Task Force set up by the Anambra state government to tackle insecurity has launched an attack on the camp of Unknown Gunmen (UGM) in Ogboji/Aguluezechukwu area, in Aguata LGA of Anambra state.
This is coming after UGM attacked and burnt down the headquarters of Aguata LGA and also killed two FRSC officers along Igbo Ukwu road in Anambra state.
The government of Charles Soludo declared a total war against insecurity, cancelled the Sit-at-home order and also setup a reconciliation and healing process for victims of the raging insecurity that has existed in the region for over two years now following the arrest and incarceration of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The security team discovered suspected stolen items at the site, including expensive vehicles, food items, charms and some ammunitions.
The leadership of UGM had allegedly threatened to attack the governor’s country home in Isuafia, Aguata LGA of Anambra state.
