Actor Jim Iyke Arrested for Physically Abusing Dana Air Staff

Nigerian nollywood actor and controversial movie star, Jim Iyke is in the news again for the wrong reason. Jim Iyke was arrested for slapping a staff of Dana Air at the Murtala Mohammed International airport in Lagos.

The actor had arrived late for his flight scheduled for 12:15 and was subjected to the routine checks at the airport. The refused to be searched and when a staff insisted, he went into rage and slapped the airline staff.

He was arrested by men from the airport police command and detained.

Dana Air’s Media and Communications Manager, Kingsley Ezenwa, who confirmed the incident, said Jim Iyke was, however, released, after he had apologised to the airline employee.

Ezenwa added that the actor eventually missed the flight, which was still on ground when the incident happened.

The Public Relations Officer, Airport Command, Alabi Joseph, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, also confirmed the incident, saying that Iyke was released after he tendered an apology.
