Canadian – American superstar singer, Celine Dion has expressed her sympathy with Nigerians over the #Endsars protests that recently engulfed the west African country.

The singer tweeted, “My heart is melting after reading what is going on in Nigeria…#EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality” after following the protest online.

Aside Celine Dion, other international celebrities like Cardi B, Trey Songz, John Boyega among others have also sent a heartfelt message to Nigerians.

The #EndSARS protest started as an online protest and later led to physical protests across Nigeria, the UK and America.

Nigerians marched on the streets to protest police brutality and call for the abolition of a brutal police unit called the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

The government reacted and subsequently scrapped SARS. A new special police unit known as the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit (SWAT) was announced to replace the defunct SARS on Tuesday.
