Atlanta, USA- Nigerian music star David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, made history on Tuesday by casting his first-ever vote in a United States presidential election.

The award-winning artist took to social media platform X.com to share his excitement about participating in the democratic process.

On election day, which saw Americans choosing between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump, Davido posted a picture of himself with an “I’m a Georgia voter. I secured my vote!” sticker, proudly declaring, “First-time voter!”

Earlier in the day, Davido encouraged fellow Americans to stay safe while exercising their voting rights, stating, “Election day 🇱🇷 y’all be safe as you perform your constitutional rights.”

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 21, 1992, to Nigerian parents, Davido holds dual citizenship due to his birth in the U.S. This significant milestone follows his recognition as an outstanding citizen at the Georgia General Assembly in December 2023.
