In a tragic turn of events, renowned Nigerian gospel music artist Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold, has passed away.
The sad news was shared on Tuesday by fellow gospel artist Esther Igbekele through a heartfelt tribute on social media.

Esther Igbekele paid tribute to Aduke Gold, writing, “A general has fallen. ADUKE GOLD #rip,” accompanied by a poignant picture of the late artist.
A Life of Music and Achievement
Aduke Gold, born in Lagos and the 11th child in her family, made her mark in the gospel music industry with a career spanning over two decades. She began her professional journey in 2004 and gained significant recognition with a standout live performance at the first remembrance of the late gospel icon Baba Are.
Her 2021 track “Nitori Ogo” was a defining moment in her career, further establishing her presence in the gospel music scene.
Academic and Professional Excellence
Beyond her musical talents, Aduke was also an accomplished academic. She held a degree in History and International Studies from Lagos State University and pursued a postgraduate degree in Child Psychology in the United Kingdom.
