Nigerian singer Tems has secured her second Grammy at the 67th Annual Grammy 2025 Awards, winning Best African Music Performance for her hit single, Love Me JeJe.
A Night of Victory
Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems, emerged victorious in a fiercely competitive category that featured top Nigerian artists, including Burna Boy (Higher), Asake and Wizkid (MMS), Yemi Alade (Tomorrow), and Chris Brown’s Sensational featuring Davido and Lojay.
During her emotional acceptance speech, Tems expressed deep gratitude:
“Dear God, thank you so much for putting me on this stage and bringing me this team. Tomorrow is my mum’s birthday, and this is her first Grammys. I just want to thank you, mum, because she’s really done a lot for me and my brother. I want to thank my team—thank you so much. To God be the glory, because honestly, He’s changed my life so much.”
Tems’ Rise to Global Stardom
