JAMB Says 2025 Direct Entry registration not closing April 7
JAMB Clarifies Registration Timeline for 2025 Direct Entry Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a statement to quell rumors regarding the closing date for the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) registration. Contrary to speculation that registration would end on Monday, April 7, 2025, the board confirmed that the process, which commenced on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, will remain open until an official deadline is announced.

Fabian Benjamin, the board’s spokesperson, stated, “Candidates wishing to register can do so at any of our designated Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) starting Monday and continuing until we declare a closing date.”

This extension in the registration period is aimed at allowing the board to complete its ongoing investigations into candidates who have been apprehended or are under scrutiny for attempting to register with fraudulent A-Level results.

JAMB has urged candidates with questionable academic credentials to avoid participating in the registration process, noting that stringent measures are in place to detect such individuals both presently and in the future. “If you have previously submitted fraudulent results, we strongly encourage you to withdraw voluntarily, as our investigations are broadening to include students who have already been granted admission,” the statement added.

JAMB’s commitment to upholding integrity in the admission process underscores its efforts to ensure a fair opportunity for all candidates.
