The United States Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, has opened applications for its prestigious 2025 Higher Education Grant. With a $175,000 fund, this initiative aims to support high-achieving, low-income Nigerian students seeking undergraduate and graduate education opportunities in the U.S.

About the Grant

The grant will provide financial assistance to 40 talented Nigerian students, helping them access U.S. higher education through the Education USA Opportunity Funds Program. Key focus areas include:

  • Covering standardized test and application fees
  • Funding airfare, visa, SEVIS fees, and settling-in costs
  • Supporting Standard Advising Centers in Calabar, Jos, Ibadan, and Kano

The implementing partner will work closely with U.S. Embassy Education Specialists in Abuja and Lagos to execute the 2025-26 Education Advising Program.
