Popular singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has lost his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, after he drowned in his family swimmig pool on Monday evening, REPORT AFRIQUE can confirm.
The three-year-old was said to have drowned in a private swimming pool at the family’s residence in Lagos.
A source close to the family told REPORT AFRIQUE that the boy drowned in the family pool, while under the care of a minder in the singer’s porch Banana Island home. He was rushed to the Lagos Lagoon hospital but was later pronounced dead. Davido and Chioma were said to be away from home when the sad incident occurred.
Ifeanyi Adekeke was born on October 20, 2019, by Davido’s girlfriend Chioma Rowland.
The couple had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan yesterday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who can’t explain how he entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.
The development comes two years after another artist Dapo Oyebanjo, D’banj, lost his son, who similarly drown in the family swimming pool.
A few days ago, Davido posted a video of himself and Ifeanyi swimming in a pool. The video attracted mixed reactions from readers on nairaland.
