With Nigeria holding the a record of 10.5 million out of school children- the highest in the world according to UNICEF– the burden of educating the child is that of national concern in the country. With a struggling economy, the government looks up to charity to help alleviate the level of illiteracy among children.

As the general overseer of the largest Christian congregation in Rivers state, the commercial hub of the Niger Delta, Apostle Chibuzor has decided, as a key focus of his ministry, to embark on a massive establishment of standard schools throughout country admitting pupils for free. Pupils who are enrolled are also provided with books, feeding and uniforms for free. Pupils are often sent on excursions abroad with all expense paid by the church.

Built to standard, the free schools are open to children from all religions, state of origin or race.  Though a Christian own school, the schools boasts of a number of Muslim pupils in attendance.

OPM currently operate about 10 free schools spread across Nigeria. More are under construction at the moment.

Apostle Chibuzor pilots his charity projects via the OPM foundation, an arm of the church that focuses on charity programs designed to help the poor in the society.

The OPM foundation has programs ranging from Free Education, Free Restaurants, Free Boutiques, Free Skill Acquisitions Training, Free Medical Services and more.

One good thing about what Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere is doing to transform the lives of the people is that when he gets you converted and you don’t have the resources to make it in life, his foundation offers such kind of persons various incentives through the skill acquisition scheme and other valuable programmes it carries out. At the end of the day he is helping take off laziness from the fabric of the society.

As a result of the upstanding and outstanding personality and the extraordinary vision and organizational acumen of Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, OPM’s outreach and membership has grown exponentially to over 5 million adherents cut across the length and breadth of the African continent thus establishing it as the fastest growing missionary and evangelizing church in the whole of the Third World including Latin and South America.

His contributions to education are outstanding and now crown him the Icon of Free Education in Nigeria.

Apostle Chibuzor’s passion for establishing free schools stems from the fact that he had some struggles earlier in his life. Groomed from a poor background, he too encountered the struggles of poverty and rejection. He was once homeless and took shelter under the bridge in Lagos state and had to resort to selling recharge cards credit to make ends meet.

These life’s struggles of the past make him feel indebted to God for saving him and establishing him as a voice to propagate his gospel. Hence, his decision to give back to the society without reservations.
