Breaking: Nollywood actor Ernest Azuzu is dead

Popular Nollywood actor Ernest Azuzu is dead, family sources have confirmed to REPORT AFRIQUE.

Mr Azuzu is said to have died on Tuesday evening.

Confirming his death, his wife, Jennifer Asuzu, said he slumped on Tuesday evening  and died.

The president of actors guild of Nigeria, Mr Emeka Rollas also confirmed Mr Azuzu’s demise saying he was yet to be briefed on the details surrounding his late colleague’s death.

Ernest Azuzu started his acting in Nigeria career in the 90’s and featured in many movies.

His career suffered greatly after he was down with stroke for three years.

A video of him went viral in 2020 after he was seen begging for alms in Lagos.

He was later rescued by philanthropists who paid his medical bills and was set again to rebrand his career with a launch of his music album in 2020.

Azuzu’s death makes the list of Nollywood veterans that have died in recent times.
