The tanker explosion damaged properties worth millions of naira

Ibadan, Nigeria – A petrol tanker explosion on Saturday evening left five vehicles and three motorcycles burnt in the Iyana-Ajia area of Egbeda Local Government, Ibadan.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 4:30 PM along the Ibadan-Ife Expressway near the ongoing construction of the Iyana-Ajia bridge, resulted in the destruction of two articulated trucks, an 18-seater bus, two commercial cabs, and three motorcycles.

The fire burned with great intensity, but fortunately, there were no reports of casualties. Unfortunately, the vehicles affected by the fire were totally consumed by the flames, reduced to mere ashes.

Emergency services were called to the scene, though further details regarding the cause of the explosion are yet to be confirmed.
