The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry and King of Ikwuorie community, in Abia state, His Majesty, King Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere is on an investment visit to the Netherlands to woo Dutch investors into investing in his home state of Abia, Nigeria.
The royal embarked on the trip on Monday and was received at the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport by Comrade Sunny Ofehe, a Dutch-Nigerian professional with expertise in facilitating foreign direct investment to Nigeria.
Ofehe, who is also the current SSA on Foreign Affairs and Investment to the Delta state government, is expected to facilitate meetings with investors, with the aim of attracting investments to the king’s community in Ikwuorie, Ohanku Kingdom, in Ukwa East, Local Government Area of Abia state..
The trip is also expected afford King Chinyere the opportunity to market Abia state under the new leadership of governor Alex Otti as Nigeria’s emerging top investment destination.
In a chat with REPORT AFRIQUE, King Chinyere revealed that his visit to the Netherlands is in line with his policy to use his new position as king to impact the lives of the Ikwuorie people of Abia state.
“My priority is to ensure that my people benefit from the opportunities we can attract from the international community. This trip is only one of many that are lined up in my itinerary for the coming months.” King Chinyere told our reporter.
The king hopes to use his exalted office to focus on job creation and provision of basic amenities for his people.
The clergyman was installed as king in February, 2024 following an 11-year demand by his people for him to take on the position as king. He was subsequently installed as the Ihie I of Ikwuorie Kingdom and his staff of office handed him by governor Alex Otti of Abia state.
King Chinyere is famous for his humanitarian works which have helped thousands of indigent people in Nigeria in education, health care, skill acquisition and many areas.
