The founder and General Overseer of the Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has been chosen by the people of Ikwuorie kingdom in Abia state to be their king.
The clergy man received his staff of office from the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, OFR and shall now be referred to as His Royal Majesty, King Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the IHIE 1 of Ikwuorie Autonomous community on March 1, 2024.
The development left the community in joy as they have beckoned on the clergy man to be their king for over 11 years now after the demise of their former king, Prof Isaac Nnanna Kanu in 2013.
The clergy had earlier rejected the proposition to be king and nominated someone in his stead but his stand was rejected by the community, which insisted they needed him to lead the community in the capacity as king.

The Emergence of King Chinyere: A New Dawn in Ohanku
After his acceptance of his staff of office as the King of Ikwuorie, his first assignment was to restore peace, which has lingered for more than 25 years among not less than 50 families, in the community. Cases related to these were summoned before a traditionally shrine, which is believed to have led to the death of many and some families being wiped completely in the community.
The new king intervened and reconciled each of those 50 families bringing an end to deities related deaths and brought a lasting peace in the community.
The Upcoming Ohanku Mega Crusade
The newly crowned king has announced a mega crusade in Ohanku community.
Slated for the 12th of April, 2024, at the Ohanku Primary school field, the crusade is organized to bring the Ohanku people closer to God and to rededicate the to the almighty God, Jehovah, the monarch told REPORT AFRIQUE.
It is tagged “Ohanku for Doctor Jesus” because we want to rededicate our land to the almighty God.” the clergy and king told REPORT AFRIQUE.
OPM’s Apostle Chibuzor’s Benevolence to Ikwuorie Community
Apostle Chinyere has been a pillar of hope for the people of Ikwuorie community over the years.
His impacts cut across education, healthcare, food provision and much more. Below are some of the positive impacts the clergy man has attracted to his home town over the years.
Refurbishing of the Only School in Ikwuorie Ohanku and Payment of Fees for all students
When the only Secondary school in Ikwuorie-Ohanku community, the Ikwuorie Comprehensive Secondary School Ohanku was closed down in 2015 due to dilapidation of the school facility, the clergy man stepped in and renovated the school.
He also built more classrooms, equipped them with desks and other learning facilities. He also built a lodge for corps members serving at the school, provided a borehole water and a generator for power supply.
To aid in the provision of quality teachings in the school, Apostle Chinyere employed more teachers to support the few government’s paid teachers in the school.
These improvements on the school made it possible for the school to be re-accepted as a WAEC Centre.
The school which had only four students before now currently has over 260 students.
Apostle Chinyere currently pays the school fees from JSS 1 to SS3 for every student in the Ikwuorie Comprehensive Secondary School.
OPM Founder’s Provision of University Scholarships to Ohanku Indigenes
His Royal Majesty Apostle Dr Chibuzor Gift Chinyere has offered several international and Local scholarships to indigent indigenes in Ohanku community.
Not fewer than 60 children from Ohanku community are currently studying various degree courses in Poland, Turkey, Cyprus, United States of America, Canada and Benin Republic under His Royal Majesty Apostle Chinyere’s Scholarship scheme. While others are in various universities in Nigeria.
His benevolence in this regards transcends the boundaries of Ikwuorie community into the other communities that make up the Ohanku kingdom. Ohanku kingdom comprises Ikwuorie Autonomous community, Ujuru Autonomous community and Okotoko Autonomous community.
OPM Builds Houses for Widows in Ohanku
The widows in the community are not left out in Apostle Chibuzor’s benevolence, as the peoples king have built many houses for widows and placed all widows in Ohanku on a monthly allowance scheme.
Yearly Medical Outreach for Ohanku
Once every year, Apostle Chinyere organizes eye test and treatment with free eye glasses to the people of Ohanku community to assist them solve some eye related problems and complications.
Other notable impacts from King Chibuzor incudes the provision of drinkable water across the Ikwuorie community and procurement of electricity meter to every household in Ohanku.
