National Association of University Students (NAUS) Confers OPM General Overseer as Grand Patron

The National Association of University Students (NAUS) has unanimously chosen Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Chinyere, OPM General Overseer as its Grand Patron.

This decision was made during a leadership meeting of the Association where prominent Nigerians from various zones were nominated to represent their respective regions.

Dr. Chinyere, hailing from the South East, joins a distinguished list of nominees, including Atiku Abubakar (North East), Chief of Staff to the President, RT Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (South-West), Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio (South-South), TETFUND Executive Secretary, Echono Sunday (North- Central), and Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero (North- West).

The Association cited Dr. Chinyere’s extensive philanthropic efforts as the primary reason for his nomination. His contributions include sponsoring numerous students through university education and covering the costs of JAMB forms for aspiring scholars, among other charitable gestures.

In an official letter signed by the Association’s President, Comrade Obaji Uchenna Marshall, a courtesy visit to Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere is requested to formally confer upon him the esteemed title of Grand Patron on the 18th of April 2024.

Yesterday in Port Harcourt, the Apostle met with a delegation from the Association, contrary to the originally proposed date for the official conferment.

The Association is one amongst the apex student bodies in Nigeria having its presence across all Nigerian universities.
