Minna, Nigeria – Former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, paid a visit to former Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (retired), at his residence in Minna, Niger State, on Thursday.
The visit, according to Obi, provided an opportunity to exchange views on pressing national issues with the elder statesman, whom he described as a “father figure” and a source of invaluable wisdom.
“From Jigawa State, I travelled to Minna, Niger State, to pay a visit to a father figure, elder statesman, and leader, the former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, at his residence,” Obi stated on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
He shared photos from the meeting, noting that the visit also served as an occasion to wish Babangida a happy New Year.

The Labour Party leader emphasized that his discussions with Babangida focused on national issues, underscoring the importance of seeking guidance from experienced leaders.
