Politician EFCC Chico Killed along East West Road in River state

A member of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers state, Ekele Fyneface Chikobi Cohen also known as EFCC Chico,  has been assassinated by  unknown gunmen along East West road in the state.

EFCC Chiko who attacked with others on their way back from a political campaign in Ahoada West.

Their vehicles were ambushed by the gunmen who hid in the bush injuring several persons. Late Chikobi sustained bullet wounds in the head and was reported to have died at the spot.

Late Efcc Chiko was the Leader, Ahoada West Legislative Assembly and was also very popular on the Nigerian social media.

Friends have taken to the social media to pay tribute to the late politician.

The Leader of the Obio/Akpor Legislative Assembly, Hon. Prince Nelson John, described as “a very rude shock”, news of the gruesome murder of late Chico.

“The gruesome murder of Hon. EFCC Chiko is a huge loss to Democracy and the Legislative business in Rivers State” he said.

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has stated that the State Government will ensure that the killers of Ekele Fyneface Chikobi Cohen (EFCC) are brought to justice.

“The people who killed EFCC will face the consequences. All hands are on deck to bring the killers to justice. They will meet their Waterloo ”

The governor was quoted in a statement signed by Simeon Nwakaudu,
his Special Assistant Electronic Media.
