Kwankwaso advised Nigerians not to be swayed by financial incentives or gifts during future elections, urging them to make informed decisions.
Katsina, Nigeria – Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has declared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) “dead” in Nigeria.
Speaking on Saturday at the inauguration of a newly renovated NNPP office in Katsina State, Kwankwaso explained that he and his supporters had left the PDP because it no longer aligned with their vision.
“I wish to remind you that PDP is dead because we left the party. Since they have gone out of the line, we decided to check out,” Kwankwaso said.
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, the former Governor of Kano State expressed confidence in his chances, stating that the NNPP is poised to take over the presidency and secure significant wins across the states.
Kwankwaso also advised Nigerians not to be swayed by financial incentives or gifts during future elections, urging them to make informed decisions.
In his remarks, Katsina NNPP Chairman, Armaya’u Abdulkadir, emphasized the party’s efforts to educate voters on the significance of its new logo. Abdulkadir highlighted that the logo symbolizes “education for all,” a core tenet of Kwankwaso’s Kwankwasiyya movement.
“There is a need for the party to embark on grassroots sensitization to inform members on the importance of the new logo,” Abdulkadir added.
The NNPP leader’s comments come as the party strengthens its grassroots presence, focusing on education and other core reforms in preparation for future electoral contests.
