A suicide bomber attacked a wedding ceremony in Gwoza, a town in Borno State, resulting in multiple fatalities.
Numerous wedding guests are reported to be among the dead, and many others sustained injuries.
Details of the attack remain unclear at this time. According to a security source quoted by Daily Trust, it is uncertain whether the incident was caused by a bomb blast or suicide bombers.
The attack occurred in two locations: the first blast happened in the Hausari area, and the second in Mararaba, a busy market area known for selling bicycles and other items.
Security forces, who have largely contained insurgency-related violence in Borno State, are responding to the situation. Soldiers have taken control of the streets of Gwoza in the aftermath of the blasts.
