Trump’s Decision Sparks Diplomatic Tensions as U.S. Calls for Investigation into Alleged Seizures Of White Farmers Land and Human Rights Violations in South Africa
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced the suspension of all financial aid to South Africa, citing concerns over alleged land confiscations and mistreatment of the country’s White farmers.
In a statement on Truth Social, Trump accused South Africa of violating human rights through its land reform policies.
“South Africa is confiscating land and treating certain classes of people VERY BADLY. It is a bad situation that the Radical Left Media doesn’t want to so much as mention,”
he wrote.
The move follows South African President Cyril Ramaphosa’s recent signing of the Expropriation Bill, a law allowing the government to acquire land for public purposes. While officials defend it as a necessary step for land reform, critics argue it disproportionately targets White farmers.

Trump condemned the policy, calling it a “massive Human Rights VIOLATION” and demanding an investigation before any U.S. funding is reconsidered.
“The United States won’t stand for it. We will act,”
Trump said.
“Also, I will be cutting off all future funding to South Africa until a full investigation of this situation has been completed!”
The decision is expected to heighten diplomatic tensions between Washington and Pretoria, as South Africa continues its push for land redistribution.
