Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has revealed that he has not received any official offers from clubs following his impressive performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Despite reports suggesting interest from various clubs, including Queens Park Rangers, Union St Gilloise, and Al Ettifaq in the Saudi Arabia Professional Football scene, Nwabali stated that he is yet to engage in any direct transfer discussions.

Nwabali, who played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s runner-up finish at AFCON 2023, expressed his surprise at the lack of contact from potential suitors. In an interview with FARPost, he emphasized that neither he nor his representatives have been approached by any clubs regarding a possible transfer.

“To be honest, I’ve never seen anything on my table ever since AFCON,” Nwabali disclosed. “Maybe those clubs might have spoken to my team or my manager. But at this point, we can’t do anything. And they can’t approach me because it would be unprofessional. They must go to my club or my manager.”

Despite the absence of concrete offers, Nwabali remains optimistic about his future in football. He acknowledged the common practice of clubs maintaining secrecy during transfer negotiations, especially leading up to the summer transfer window.

“So I don’t know if there’s something on the table maybe waiting for towards summer or transfer window,” Nwabali explained. “You know most clubs always do this. When they show interest, you’re opening the way to some other clubs. So, some people always keep it a secret, and when they get you, they get you once. For now, I know nothing.”

Nwabali’s revelation sheds light on the intricacies of the transfer market, where clubs often conduct business discreetly to avoid unnecessary disruptions or competitive bidding wars. As the summer transfer window approaches, fans and football enthusiasts will be keen to see whether Nwabali secures a move to a new club or continues his career with his current team.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper’s performance at AFCON 2023 garnered widespread attention, with many considering him as a potential target for clubs seeking to bolster their squads. However, despite the speculation surrounding his future, Nwabali remains focused on his current commitments while leaving the negotiations to his representatives and club officials.

In the meantime, Nwabali continues to train and prepare for upcoming matches, maintaining his professionalism and dedication to the sport. While uncertainty looms regarding his future, the goalkeeper remains steadfast in his pursuit of success on the pitch, ready to seize any opportunities that may arise in the ever-evolving world of football transfers.
