In a bid to reorganize markets within the state, the Lagos State Government has unveiled plans to relocate the bustling Computer Village from its current location in Ikeja to Katangowa in the Abule-Egba area.
In a video posted on TVC News Youtube Channel, Dr. Olajide Babatunde, a Special Adviser to the Governor on eGIS and Urban Development said Computer Village will be relocated along with other markets obstructing traffic flow in the central areas of the state to Katangowa market.
Dr. Olajide Babatunde made the disclosure during a joint inspection and enforcement exercise carried out by the Lagos State Building Control Agency, alongside law enforcement agencies and other relevant government bodies overseeing emergency-related matters.
Babatunde emphasized the government’s commitment to restructuring markets across Lagos, citing the imminent move of Computer Village as a significant step in this direction.
