Youths who organised and participated in the nationwide #EndSARS protests that caught global attention now have a new group known as “We Move Naija” and they will be holding a webinar meeting on Saturday, October 31.
The 3pm (West African Time) online meeting tagged “The Conversation” is driving home the message that the struggle which started as #EndSARS “is a marathon, not a sprint”.
“The Citizen’s Collective” in whose name the meeting is being promoted says “#EndSARS was step one and the journey to the way forward has just begun.
The meeting which is inviting all Nigerian youths to be a part of the conversation home and abroad will be broadcast live on www.wemovenaija.com with media coverage from Hip TV, AIT, Arise TV as well as on social media – Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.
Keynote speaker slated at the meeting is Nigerian Entertainer, Falz who is the son of renowned human rights lawyer, Femi Falana while the guest speakers are Aisha Yesufu and Atedo Peterside.
The panels on tracking #5for5 will have Chioma Chuka, Bulama Bukarti and Nelson Olanipekun.
On “Who Will Speak For Us?” Four persons have been shortlisted including Rinu Oduala, Chidi Okereke (CPG), Mr. Macaroni and Akin O. The conversation which will be hosted by Nigeria’s finest Compere, Ebuka with Maryam Laushi as Moderator will also feature talks on “From Protest to Power” and FK Abudu, Samson Itodo, M.I and Fakhriyah Hashim have been pencilled down to motivate participants on how they would get involved in the democratic process ahead of the next elections.
Four music artistes including Waje, 2baba, Darey Art Alade and Timi Dakolo will be on hand to provide musical inspiration during the webinar.
The #EndSARS protests came to a climax with the alleged shooting of protesters on Tuesday, October 20 at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos State by security operatives including soldiers and the police.
