As President Tinubu, King Charles, and other distinguished guests lined up for a group picture, the woman made her way to the front, exchanging pleasantries with King Charles, who was standing next to President Tinubu.

Following the exchange, she positioned herself in front of President Tinubu. The woman was promptly requested to step aside by protocol officers at the event.

Outrage as Tinubu’s outsized COP28 delegation costs N880m to fly

There has been public outrage over the outsized delegation accompanying President Bola Tinubu to participate in the Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai.

The president was said to have travelled with 1,411 delegates, according to a list by the UN Climate Change, making him the leader in Africa with the highest entourage and the third largest representation among global countries attending the conference.

While this has attracted public outrage, it has arguably taken a toll on the finances of the nation amidst a biting economy. A check on the average international flight operator showed that a two-way flight ticket from Nigeria to Dubai will cost N1.5 million, that is putting the gross expenses for flight alone for the 1,411 delegates at about N880m.
