How lightning struck 2 dead in Delta state community

In a shocking incident, two persons have lost their lives after being struck by lightning in Issele-Azagba community, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State. The tragic event occurred on Tuesday afternoon, around 2 pm, during a torrential rain shower accompanied by thunderstorms.

Eyewitnesses revealed that 13 youths were playing a football game at Osemeke Primary School field when the lightning struck. Among the victims was a Point of Service (POS) operator in the community.

One of the survivors, Sunday, is currently battling for his life in a hospital in Asaba and is said to be in critical condition. The police are yet to confirm the incident, although they have acknowledged receiving reports of the rumour.

The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the community, leaving many to mourn the loss of the two lives and praying for the speedy recovery of those injured. Further investigations are underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
