In a statement released on Saturday via its official X handle, the Board disclosed that the UTME will now kick off on Thursday, April 24, 2025, instead of the earlier scheduled Friday, April 25, 2025. The statement was signed by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.

The Board explained that the rescheduling was necessitated by operational reasons and to allow room for essential engagements with its technical partners and stakeholders.

As part of preparations for the examination, JAMB announced that candidates can begin printing their Examination Notification Slips from Saturday, April 19, 2025. The slip contains vital information including the candidate’s exam date, venue (centre), time, and other relevant instructions.

Candidates are advised to visit the Board’s official website at www.jamb.gov.ng, click on the “2025 UTME Slip Printing” link, input their registration number, and proceed to print their slips.

The Board also urged candidates to visit their assigned examination centres ahead of time in order to avoid last-minute confusion and delays on the day of the exam.

“It is strongly advised that candidates print their slips and familiarise themselves with their examination centres at least one or two days before the examination date. This preparation will help ensure a smooth experience on exam day,” the statement emphasized.

JAMB reiterated that no candidate will be posted outside their selected examination town, assuring that all examinees will sit for the test within their preferred exam locations.

The Board concluded by reminding candidates to make adequate logistical arrangements to access their centres, stressing the importance of early preparation for a hitch-free UTME experience.
