In a recent breakthrough, the Nigerian Police have apprehended Ibrahim Abdullahi, also known as Mandi, the mastermind behind the heinous Abuja-Kaduna train attack and subsequent killings.
The arrest, announced by the Force Police Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, during a press briefing in Kaduna State, marks a crucial milestone in the pursuit of justice for the victims.
Abdullahi, notorious for his involvement in the abduction of students from Greenfield University in 2021, was identified as the key figure orchestrating the tragic incident that took place in March 2022. His capture comes as a result of extensive investigative efforts by law enforcement.
During the operation leading to his arrest, the police confiscated 48 AK-47 rifles, shedding light on the intricate network facilitating such acts of terror. Efforts are currently underway to ascertain Abdullahi’s sponsors and the source of the weaponry, as authorities continue to unravel the complexities surrounding his criminal activities.
