Former President Donald Trump announced he will not make another run for the White House if he loses the upcoming November 2024 election. In an interview aired Sunday on “Full Measure” with Sharyl Attkisson, Trump, 78, stated, “I think that will be it,” when asked if he would pursue a fourth presidential campaign should he be defeated by Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump is in a tight race against Harris, with polls showing a dead heat in key battleground states. Nationwide, Harris has begun gaining ground, but the election remains highly competitive.

Trump’s 2024 bid marks his third consecutive presidential run. He previously lost the 2020 election to President Joe Biden, a result he continues to falsely attribute to widespread voter fraud. Trump, who has been indicted on multiple criminal charges related to efforts to overturn the 2020 results, denies any wrongdoing and frames the indictments as politically motivated attacks.

Despite his legal battles, Trump has expanded his business ventures, launching Trump Media, NFTs, and branded merchandise, including sneakers and cryptocurrency.

Meanwhile, Harris, 59, has positioned the 2024 race as pivotal for U.S. democracy, focusing on key domestic issues such as family costs and housing.

In the interview, Trump mentioned that a four-year break from office has helped him reassess his alliances but admitted it would have been “easier” to remain in power continuously. He also noted that it’s too early to discuss potential cabinet appointments should he win in November.
