Alongside Ortom, who is accused of endorsing the Labour Party candidate in the 2023 election and calling for support of the APC in the 2027 Presidential election, the party has also suspended the state Deputy Chairman, Isaac Mffor, and the state Publicity Secretary, Bemgba Iortyom.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the suspension of former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom and three others for alleged anti-party activities.
The decision was made by the State Working Committee (SWC) of the PDP during a meeting in Makurdi.
Their suspensions are attributed to their involvement in the theft of congress materials intended for the ward congresses held in Buruku and Ushongo local government areas.
Additionally, Azua Ashongo, the party’s Vice Chairman of Zone A, has been suspended for gross insubordination and indiscipline. The announcement was made by Cornelius Hwande, the Media Consultant for the PDP.
