World’s biggest video sharing platform, YouTube has taken down Emmanuel TV channel run by late TB Joshua‘s Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), amidst allegations against the late preacher by the BBC.
Emmanuel TV is SCOAN’s official video streaming channel used to broadcast the religious activities performed by the church. Youtube acted after Open Democracy, an international media movement that challenges the abuse of power reported abusive content targeting survivors of the Synagogue Church of All Nations.
This latest action by Youtube will make it the second time in three years that the Emmanuel TV channel has been suspended on the video sharing platform, following previous breaches of the platform’s community guidelines.
YouTube said: “The flagged channel was terminated for violating our hate speech policies.”
This is also coming amidst accusations of the late preacher on a controversial documentary reports by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) about the allegations of torture and rape perpetrated at SCOAN.
