JAMB Announces New Date For 2025 UTME
JAMB Sets New Date for 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially rescheduled the starting date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to Thursday, April 24, 2025. This change comes a day earlier than the previous date of Friday, April 25, 2025. The announcement was made via a statement from JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, and posted on the Board’s official X account on Saturday.

“The start date for the 2025 UTME is now set for Thursday, April 24, 2025, instead of the previously announced date of Friday, April 25, 2025. This adjustment has been made to accommodate key activities by the Board and its partner agencies,” the statement explained.

In addition, JAMB has announced that candidates can begin printing their Notification Slips, which provide crucial information for the exam, including the date, venue, time, and important instructions for a successful exam experience.

Candidates are encouraged to start printing their Notification Slips from Saturday, April 19, 2025, to ensure they have ample time for logistical preparations to reach their assigned examination centres.

“To print your examination slip, candidates are advised to visit www.jamb.gov.ng, select ‘2025 UTME Slip Printing,’ enter your registration number, and click on ‘Print Examination Slip’,” the statement instructed.

JAMB strongly recommends that candidates familiarize themselves with their examination centres ahead of time. “We advise all candidates to print their slips and get to know their examination venues one or two days before the exam. This preemptive step will help to ensure a smoother experience on examination day,” the Board stated.

The Board further reassured candidates that each will be assigned to centres within their chosen examination towns, with no candidate placed outside their selected location.

To summarize, the 2025 UTME will commence on Thursday, April 24, 2025. Candidates are urged to print their Notification Slips at least a day before the exam to verify their dates and locations, facilitating easier access to their centres on exam day.
