Woman Arrested in Ogun State for Inserting Firewood into Minor’s Private Parts

A disturbing incident has led to the arrest of 25-year-old Temitope Adetanju in Ogun State.

She allegedly inserted a piece of firewood into the private parts of a 12-year-old girl accused of stealing items worth N650.

According to the police, the victim was accused of stealing biscuits, Milo beverages, and fruit juice. The guardian, Temitope Adetanju, subjected the minor to severe physical punishment, culminating in the gruesome act.

The incident occurred on June 13, 2024, at approximately 11:00 am in Isewo, Obada Oko, Ewekoro Local Government Area. The Divisional Police Officer in Obada-Oko promptly detained Adetanju.

Ogun State Police Command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest and ongoing investigation. Adetanju has admitted to the accusations, and the Juvenile Welfare Centre is involved in the case.
